CASE STUDY PROJECT

*NOTE* This Course Cannot Be Passed Without the Submission of This Final Paper

The Final Paper for MO 270 Case Study Project will encompass two important elements.  You must fully Emphasize Your Knowledge through comprehensive research in each of the topic areas, and Present a Compare and Contrast Example of a Mathematical Analysis through your research and discussion of the Ledger Card.  It must follow ALL of the APA Guidelines detailed in the course syllabus.  This will include the paper being a minimum of 10 pages in length (which includes the cover sheet and reference page).  It must be double spaced, with Times New Roman 12” Font. A minimum of 6 credible references will be required. References from the case studies may be used.  For guidance on the rubric of this paper, please refer to the rubric in the syllabus.  Sloppy or poorly written papers will not merit “Superior Work” as per the rubric noted in the syllabus.

Please do not procrastinate in writing your final paper. You can start the final research paper as soon as you receive your grade back from the week one case study and then add to the paper each week. If you keep up with your final paper, in week 7 there will not be a large amount to complete. At that point, you will be able to add the last area of study, which will be the information regarding the Ledger Card, your conclusion and any final touches. Again, familiarize yourself with the APA Guidelines for writing a Research Paper, proper in text citations to avoid plagiarism, and how to put together a correct cover sheet and reference page.  Deductions apply if these areas are incorrect, or overlooked.

In each section of the paper you will discuss and apply the knowledge from the general education context of society as a whole.  This will be accomplished by pulling together all of the Learning Objectives of this course, and discuss each area, by utilizing the key terms and concepts, videos, power point presentations, provided links, case studies, the discussion board, and your own Internet web searches. Note:  This Final Research Paper is not a recap of the case studies.  They are to be used along with the other information provided in this course to research, understand, and discuss the Learning Objectives of this course. The areas to be researched and discussed in the Final Research Paper will have Section Headings and follow this format:

**NOTE** Points will be deducted if Section Headings are left out.  Each topic covered, including the introduction and conclusion will be a minimum of 1 page in length and a minimum of 350 words.  An automatic 5 point deduction will apply to the topic being covered if page length and word count minimum are not met.

Information about the Ledger Card

This section of the paper will demonstrate your ability to think critically and conceptually by using a mathematical analysis.  You are to present a compare and contrast example of a mathematical analysis by discussing the Ledger Card from your Week 7 assignment, along with additional Internet research, and detail how making a mistake on a Ledger Card can affect the patient and the practice as a whole. A minimum of one credible reference is required for this section.
