Covid Crisis Research Paper Outline
Thesis Statement:
Covid 19 has hit the planet like a meteor. After the first detection in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, the CDC announced that the first person in the United States had died from COVID-19 on February 20, 2020. Since then, close to 139 million people worldwide have been infected with the novel coronavirus, officially known as SARS-CoV-2. Nearly 3 million have died, including over 550,000 in the United States. The year has been one of unspeakable tragedy, of frustrating politicization of the Virus, unspeakable economic hardship, but also hope with the arrival of the first COVID-19 vaccines. We will never forget how the Covid Crisis completely dominated our lives. Welcome to the future.

Introduction
The World Health Organization in December 2019 reported an outbreak of COVID-19 in Wuhan, a District in central China, following a virus from a bat. With time, many countries started reporting positive cases due to the fast spreading of the Virus. Italy, Spain, France, and the United Kingdom are among the worst-hit countries.
Initial reports from China to the World Health Organization as of December 31, 2019, stated at least 44 people were ailing from the Virus. However, Chinese authorities were still investigating the origin of the Virus. The Virus began spreading to other parts of the world in January 2020, particularly the United States of America.
The Virus was airborne after months of extensive research; in the beginning, the main forms of transmission were touching contaminated surfaces and contact with infected individuals. It is due to this reason that most countries put up measures to ensure social distancing.

In conjunction with Congress, the Trump administration ensured the passage of the preparedness ad response supplemental appropriations act of 2020, the Economic Security (CARES) Act, among other policies aimed at providing good public health to the citizens. The Trump administration, unlike other countries, shifted the blame on China and did not institute strict measures to curb the spread.
The COVID-19 pandemic entered New York long before it was previously thought. With the onset traced back to Europe and particularly Wuhan China, the Virus spread through the community interactions due to limited knowledge of the Virus.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought very many effects. These effects range from social, political, and economic effects. The main and mostly felt by a greater percentage of the population were the closure of schools, physical learning, loss of jobs that affected living standards, and a global recession that affected the economic scene in the whole world.

The Trump administration’s strategies on preparedness and response to the risks posed by the Virus at all levels of lives, for instance, economic, social, and political, have constantly opposed one another. Many people claim that Trump has always downplayed the effects of the Virus with claims of saving the country’s economy. His sentiments and those of his press team have been an issue of major concern.
After the World Health Organization named the Virus and officially declared it a pandemic, the rapid spread has led to many deaths across the world. Every country reports a death or two, while countries most affected are reporting thousands of deaths.
Many people believe that the Virus spreads faster in the chilly seasons. Therefore, the same belief that the rates of infection will fade in the hot summer season. Since it is scientifically proven that the Virus does not do well in higher temperatures, the summer season will not have a real effect on the prevalence of the disease.

Soon after the declaration of covid-19 as a pandemic, many countries experienced a rapid surge in the number of cases. As a result, the leaders of different countries had to put strict measures to control the spread, for example, lockdowns.
As stated earlier, the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated several economic stimulus packages to cushion citizen’s economic statuses during and post the pandemic period. Vaccine development in the United States fast-tracked the laid economic stimulus packages in the European Union and the US.
The fall season is usually characterized by holidays. With most countries having instituted lockdowns, citizens are expected to stay home and not enjoy their holidays. The same period will also feature the distribution of the developed vaccines in the United States of America and the whole world.
Conclusion
The Biden/Harris robust and urgent strategies aimed at offering a more professional response to the health crisis posed by the COVID-19 pandemic features; equipment supply and training of more frontline workers, establishing a vaccine, and an economic response plan for workers and their families.
The first batch of the manufactured vaccine was used in the United States of America and England. Although the viability was not proven to be 100%, the infection rate has declined significantly compared to other unvaccinated countries globally.
The current state of covid 19 calls for an individual reflection where considering this is the new normal, how flexible can we get to fit with what is at our disposal. Also, one should realign priorities and consider safety measures.
