The Final Reflection (750+ words) will reflect upon what you have learned this semester and how you can utilize this knowledge in the future. This assignment calls you to use writing, reasoning, and analytical skills to express an understanding of Africana Studies. Your reflection must reference at least three course resources.
Your response must identify the three most important concepts that you have grasped this semester and explain why you feel those were the most important concepts for you to learn. Your response must also reflect upon how you might apply this knowledge in future courses and/or in the workplace. Criteria for grading includes content, organization, and grammar, spelling, and mechanics. You must submit your work as a .doc, .docx, or PDF file OR create an Adobe Spark Page. If you utilize Adobe Spark, you must share the link to your page in a .doc or .docx file to the Final Project Assignment folder.
Works Cited entries do not count towards the minimum word count. The Final Reflection must include proper MLA in-text citations, proper formatting, and a Works Cited page. The Final Reflection must be submitted to the Final Project folder by the deadline and must be submitted in .doc, .docx, or PDF format. Work submitted in alternate formats will be considered late (and lose one letter grade per 24-hour period) until resubmitted in the proper format. Your work will be graded on the quality of your ideas as well as your writing. Criteria for grading include completeness, thoughtfulness and development and support of a particular argument.
The following deductions will apply to the Final Reflection:
1) Submitted in alternate format or link does not work= late until resubmitted as a .doc, .docx, or PDF file OR until the link works
2) Late= -10% of the grade per day (24 hours)
3) Missing Works Cited= -5% of the grade
4) Missing textual support from the required sources= -5% of the grade per source (up to -15% of the grade)
5) Short of the word requirement= loses points based on percentage short (ex: an essay of 375 words can receive up to 50% credit with 750 words required)
